Account Manager Position Overview

Work closely with founder/CEO to continue bamboobies (Soft Style, Inc.) successes by managing and growing key accounts and keeping abreast of what’s happenings through data and insights. Play a key role in promotional plan development and execution. Let’s milk these opportunities! Track the details of promotions and trade spend to see performance against goals as well as partnering with marketing to make sure all sales materials are on brand and looking great!

The primary responsibilities for the bamboobies Account Manager include:

  • Collaborate with sales team and retailers to develop promotional plans and budgets that support strategic initiatives of both brand and retailer; execute promotional plan on time and on budget
  • Manage day-to-day business of select key accounts to make sure deadlines are met and programs are executed to reach or exceed the outlined goals
  • Pull and analyze account data (sales, trade spend, promotional lift, etc.); share a weekly recap with key team members
  • Draft sales decks that tell our story to the retailer using data, consumer insights and marketing input
  • Develop sales collateral in collaboration with marketing to support sales efforts and retailer promotions – signs, coupons, sell sheets and training materials
  • Oversee all financial aspects of retailer relationships including trade spend tracking, deductions, forecasting and co-marketing activities in partnership with accounting
  • Plan and execute sales tradeshows in collaboration with marketing team
  • Manage outside brokers and reps to achieve sales goals


  • Bachelor’s degree from 4-year accredited college or university, MBA degree preferred
  • 2-4 years of sales or account management experience preferably in Consumer Packaged Goods Industry (Baby/Children’s industry is a plus)
  • Knowledge of concepts within the sales function as well as in other areas such as operations, supply chain and marketing
  • Experience with sales data (SPINS, Neilsen/IRI, etc.) having the ability to download, read and analyze it
  • Self-starter with a can-do attitude who takes initiative by owning projects and taking them to the next level
  • Results-focused team player with strong project management and analytical/problem solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks and strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate (verbal/written) effectively
  • Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Have no fear of spreadsheets!)
  • Ability to travel 10-20%

Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week), salary range $50k-60k/year
